I still believe in looking into the eyes...

When a person identifies with another's feelings and feels his pain, he awakens the desire to help... This type of connections between humans generate “social bond” and is fundamental to endure the malaise of a society.We talk about empathy when a person is able to understand the feelings and emotions of another, is to be able to put himself in the place of the other. Empathy is related to  altruism,  in which giving to the other is prepended to one's own interests  . At the institutional level, in our country there are thousands of entities, groups, NGOs, foundations, that dedicate their efforts to help those who need it.Individually, anonymously and selflessly, it is common to meet individuals who resign something of their own, to give it to others.Aacute; s and we learn from them.It is known that Argentines are supportive. Faced with a misfortune, tragedy, “we are united,” ready to help. Still, it is important to convey these principles to our young people, who have had to grow up in an increasingly individualistic and retracted time, which seems not to have much record of each other. And not only that: even worse, unfortunately, people are often heard who speak with violence and contempt about those suffering from poverty, madness, addiction, etc. Compassion between people must be the basis of all coexistence. I learned from the endearing Eduardo Galeano  the difference between solidarity and charity. While solidarity is between peers, between equals that we need each other, charity implies hierarchies. Solidarity requires empathy... The word empathy comes from the Greek “Empatheia”, which means “Excited”... Fortunately, “I'm still excited about certain things.”
