Go to sectionThe most expensive old stamp in Argentina.
The stamps are unfortunately for the philatelist a species in extinction, replaced the correspondence that uses them, first with email and then by social networks.
The most valuable is still the blue Rivadavia (actually blue-greenish), with rubber on the reverse, 15 cents, undentar from the year 1864.
Berdino Rivadavia was 1st President of the United
Provinces of the Rio de la Plata during the period between February 8, 1826 and June 27, 1827.
Averaging the values in different catalogs, it goes around 21,400 pesos .

The first mailboxes in Buenos Aires were placed in the middle of the nineteenth century in business, so that they were guarded and because the stamps were sold there. This historical heritage must be preserved, as there are less than 200 and they suffer from vandalism.
