The first stage of the reconversion works of the El Cadillal dam was formally inaugurated with the opening of a restaurant and the opening of terraces overlooking that water mirror of the Tucumano department of Tafí viejo, reported Ente Tucumán Turismo (ETT).
The refurbishment of the tourist village, which is funded by the ETT, will continue in Easter and in the coming winter holidays with the construction of a meeting and conference center and commercial premises, improvements to the waterfront of the lake and pedestrian walks.
All the signage, signage and luminaire of the dam will also be renewed, said ETT president Sebastián Giobellina, during the inauguration of the works.
“ This is the beginning of a project necessary for tourism development throughout the province,” said the official, who said that “the direct beneficiaries of these works are tourists and Tucumans who demanded the need to have a better Cadillal.”
The governor of Tucumán, Juan Manzur, who participated in the inauguration, said that “the province has beautiful places and this dam, which is twenty minutes from the center of San Miguel de Tucumán, is a paradise place.”
Meanwhile, the president of the Association of Tourism Hotels of the Argentine Republic subsidiary Tucumán (AHT), Osvaldo Castillo, said that “these works are a demonstration of Tucumán's genuine commitment to tourism.”
