The main entrance to Casa Rosada is located on the north façade on Rivadavia Avenue, where is the esplanade through which the President of the Nation enters, ministers and some special guests. There is access to an important lobby, the Hall of Honor , also known as “Gallery of the Presidential Busts” .
On its perimeter, Carrara marble busts, works by national and foreign artists, pay tribute to the Argentine constitutional presidents. The first ones to be exhibited were made between 1883 and 1884, commissioned by President Julio Argentino Roca . Currently, the realization of the sculptures and their entry into the gallery is carried out in accordance with the provisions of a presidential decree. In May 2016, presidential busts were relocated in strict chronological order.
On the side walls, there are two reliefs by Argentine sculptor José Fioravanti , with lines Art Deco, The Exaltation of the Young Homeland and The Heroic Feeling of the Race.
At the ends of the hall, the French and Italy stairs lead to the main halls and the Presidential office on the first floor.
A set of glazed doors located on the opposite wall to the main entrance give access to the Patio de las Palmeras .
