They say God is everywhere, but he attends in Buenos Aires . Most of the time, that maxim is true. But, as for everything, there are exceptions. Manuel Belgrano chose another big city in our country — which was then just a town — to hoist for the first time the argentinian flag , back in 1812: Rosario (Santa Fe).
For more than 60 years, the Monument to the Flag has been erected, icon of the city's landscape since then: an imposing 70 metre tower with a viewpoint on top, nestled on top the ravines of the Paraná river. The design of the Monument belongs to the sculptors José Fioravanti and Alfredo Bigatti and the architects Ángel Guido and Alejandro Bustillo.
The Monument, inaugurated in 1957, was recently restored. In addition to recovering the original beauty of the work, the renovation also contemplated transforming the southern sector of the National Park to la Bandera for the use ofuacute; blico, recreation and recreation.
Today, you can enjoy this historic space with a visit to the beautiful city of Rosario and have the honor to appreciate our flag flaming there, as if it were the first time.
