As if it were the first time

Manuel Belgrano chose Rosario to hoist the Argentine flag for the first time. Learn more about our National Monument.

They say God is everywhere, but he attends   Buenos Aires   . Most of the time, that maxim is true. But, as for everything, there are exceptions.   Manuel Belgrano   chose another big city in our country — which at the time was just a town — to hoist for the first time the   argentina flag   , back in 1812:   Rosary   (Santa Fe).

There has been, for more than 60 years, the   Flag Monument   , icon of the city's landscape since then: an imposing 70-metre tower with a viewpoint on the top, nestled over the ravines of the Paraná River. The design of the Monument belongs to the sculptors José Fioravanti and Alfredo Bigatti and the architects Ángel Guido and Alejandro Bustillo.

The Monument, inaugurated in 1957, was recently restored. In addition to recovering the original beauty of the work, the renovation also contemplated transforming the southern sector of the   A la Bandera National Park   for public use, recreation and recreation.

Today, you can enjoy this historic space with a visit to the beautiful city of   Rosary   and have the honor of appreciating our   flag   flaming there, like it was the first time.
