Godoy Cruz has the first air quality sensor

 Godoy Cruz has Mendoza's first air quality sensor. The purpose of the device is to measure the level of air quality. The new device installed by the   Municipalityin the Departmental Square will provide data to promote environmental care. Thus, the commune seeks to guarantee the well-being of its neighbors, within a department that has grown and is a pioneer in sustainability, for many years. 

This is an  air quality sensor with which, depending on the indicated levels, it will be possible to assess which groups of people with health problems should take precautions.  Groups formed according to multiple criteria such as age, gender, weight, habits, etc.

It also signals the intensity of ultraviolet rays, humidity, temperature and time.  The mechanism is connected to a  platform , which takes air quality from time to time and computes that data to yield a result that will then be used to provide for the measures to be followed. It depends on the air quality values you throw, preventive or corrective measures will be taken. This is a municipal initiative, carried out in conjunction with the private sector.

Thus, the initiative adds to traffic lights,   devices   that measure UV radiation that are located in sports centres  and other points of the department, vehicle speed sensors and the Community Alert System, all prototypes created by the commune and developed by private entities
